Social Media, Updates, Gratitude

Greetings All,

We wanted to take a moment & express our gratitude and thankfulness to all who have been following the web project since we started the site in Mid  May.   Being new to social media & blogging, we are amazed & humbled to reach over 100 blog followers, over 100Ttwitter followers & over 100 Facebook “likes”.   After losing over 200lbs combined and keeping it off for over 2 years now, we found ourselves searching for new challenges, new inspirations, new motivations.  We had become complacent, maintaining  our weight loss had become less challenging as we have settled into our permanent lifestyle.     However that began to change when we looked outside of ourselves & began to seriously notice the amount of people out there that are/were/have struggled with being overweight/obese like we were.   We began to think about how we can encourage, motivate and inspire people to take the 1st steps in their own transformation journey – thus this website was conceived as our small way to reach many.

As you noticed, most blogs are specifically about the respective blog owner & their adventures.   Well we wanted to “flip the script”  so to speak, and not make the site all about us, but to make it a collective.  A celebration of other everyday people like ourselves who have made awe inspiring transformations.   Everyone  from those who are just getting started to those of us who have succeeded can draw power & inspiration from each others stories and follow each others new journey’s  and goals.    As for R & I, our goals are not total weight loss oriented anymore as they are improving body composition/fat loss oriented (regardless of weight-loss of body fat will result in slight loss of weight, which can be negated by muscle gain) so our main tool wont be the scale as much as it will be the tape measure and body fat testing measures.

For those who allowed us to feature you, we thank you 10 fold,  we found your stories very inspiring and believe that other readers do as well. They will visit your websites & follow/support your efforts just like we will.  We realize everyone has busy lives & for you to take out the time to support the web project w/ your story, you are much appreciated.
