I had never struggled with my weight until after I had kids, I gained 60 pounds with my first pregnancy, and 40 the second one. One day after taking a picture to send to my husband ( to show him the swimming suit I wanted to buy for our anniversary) I realized that I looked and felt terrible. I had fat rolls, cellulite, and sadness all over the place.. I remember sitting in the car and feeling like I could not breathe because my fat was sooo big around my stomach, I always had to take “strategic’ pictures so I could post them on facebook because I was embarrased and I hated the way I looked and felt.
I always wanted to be in good shape and look good and one day of March of 2009 after looking at before and after pictures f sucessful weightloss online, I decided that I COULD! I decided that I was TIRED OF BEING FAT!! So I changed my diet, and started exercising. No excuses. No pills, no Juices, no cleanses, no detoxes, no shakes that claim that you can lose weight FAST! I did it the healthy way… I ATE MYSELF SKINNYand I took NO PRISONERS! and went for it like I had a bear running behind me to kill me! :) I GAVE IT MY ALL!!! and I can say that I did not cheat on my eating style for 9 months! so the weight came off relatively fast!I believe that sharing my story will give women and men alike HOPE and MOTIVATION, and the DESIRE to CHANGE their lives!!! I am still on my jouney to health. I am not where I want to be yet. But I know it is possible. YES I CAN.
I eat every 2 to 3 hours, a lean protein plus a fruit or vegetable. The secret is to keep your body fueled and burning fat. I have eliminated sugar and refined flour out of my diet. I also do not eat potatoes, corn, or white rice.
I don’t have a set “diet” nor do I call it a diet, I eat this way day and and day out, and even when we go out to eat I eat chicken and vegetables. I do not over complicate things, once a week a might have a piece of whole wheat whole grain toast. I am never hungry. If you are hungry eat something. Like fruit, or yogurt, or nuts. I do eat prunes once in a while, and raisins. If you don’t have chicken in hand then have a protein shake ( which I never had for the first 8 months of my routine) I believe protein shake are to substitute one of the meals, not to be taken if you are getting enough protein in your diet. If you stick with this eating style you will see results, but you have to STICK with it. Not cheating you will see results in two weeks. It is NOT easy, but if you can stick with it for the first two weeks, the rest becomes easier. I will eat this way for the rest of my life. To keep my body looking the way I want it to look.
I wanted to share with you my story, and help motivate in any way I can. I do not promote any products, I promote healthy eating all the time and exercising. Which I believe is the ONLY way to stay in shape.
