Transformation Profile – Fred – lbs lost = 80+

My story: I had let myself go for a few years, blaming my job as a trucker for not being able to work out. I worked long hours and ate greasy and unhealty food and after a 15/17 hr day all I wanted to do was lay around or sleep. It finally caught up with me in the form of a main arterie to my heart being 95% blocked causing me to have a heart attack. I retuned to work FIVE days later after having two stints placed in my arterie. I down played the seriousness at first even though I had been told that I had done permantant damage to my heart. I continued to work but I was extremely weak and tired and so I fell into a deep depression, I would lay on my couch or in bed all day, blaming everyone and everything for my condition. Meanwhile my Mom had joined a local gym and began water aerobics and lost 25lbs. This gave me a glimmer of hope.

Even though I had given up on myself, my Mom never did. In fact she talked me into returning to the gym and giving it one more shot. She paid for me a one year membership. I could not let her down. I started going to water aerobics and slowly getting my range of motion back and I would lightly hit the weight room. I was very embarrassed to walk in due to the shape I had let myself get in and how weak I had became. Once I stopped blaming other people and things and but the blame squarely on my own shoulders and realized not only was I the problem that I was the solution. I started to make major progress. I change my lifestyle by changing my ‘MIND’. Each day I got a little stronger. I change my diet and began eating six healthy meals a day and having one cheat day a week. I began to push myself harder and further. I hit the pool and weight train MON, WED, FRI, on TUE, THUR, SUN, I do ab work and cardio at home.

I stay motivated by looking at fitness pages and youtube motivation videos and most importantly, HELPING OTHERS. It’s been a year and over 80 lbs lost. I have now made the transition from weight loss to bodybuilding. I am also now a personal trainer and want to spend the rest of my life helping others like me. If I can do it, ANYONE CAN! Just believe in yourself and KEEP ON KEEPIN’ ON!!!
